  One of the secretaries is rude as heck. Both our dogs required blookwork and on both occasions the vet tech was unnecessarily rough. On our small dog she missed the vein and began pulling the needle in and out then shoved the needle in pretty hard, our dog yelped out in pain and pulled back. The tech stuck her again, again pulled the needle in and out until she found the vein. The excuse was that her veins were small. Then our larger 60 lb dog needed labs, the same tech drew from her jugular (which I learned is very dangerous, is discouraged, and that there are petitions to discontinue the practice on an international level on small animals because of the dangers.) While drawing the blood the tech moved just a little and blood stopped filling the vial. Again she began pulling the needle in and out and shoved the needle in, my 60 lb. dog whined and tried to pull away. The tech stuck her a second time and pulled the needle in and out until she obtained blood. I spoke to the vet whom we had trusted with our pets for several years and had even followed to this clinic about the incidents. I was shocked and disappointed: as with the first incident she did not seem overly concerned and even downplayed the incidents to what is nothing more than routine occurrences which is unconscionable. I immediately transferred my dogs after the second incident to another clinic where this will not be an issue. Please interview vets, the clinics policies and check out the staff before you take your pet there and if you are not comfortable with ANYTHING related to your pets treatment or care go elsewhere. Our pets depend on us to protect them don't let them down like I did. Fortunately they seem to be OK.

  Our dog Mac is 15 yrs old and was very sick. I called our vet which said could not fit her in on that day. They said take her to PNC which we all know costs a lot. My girlfriend suggested Valpo hospital. They got on the floor with her and ended up she got fluids and antibiotics.. This is where we take Mac now.. A place that cares!
